Reflecting Love Beyond Time

And while I was helping her out, I bent a little so that her hands are comfortably lift and she doesn't feel the pain. I didn't hold her hand at first, I let her take a complete hold of my finger and then clasped her hand gently. Just in case if she leaves my finger to pick a leaf and looses her balance am right there to hold her before she hurts herself. I walked at her speed. I smiled when she smiled. I often turned around to people who saw us walking and said she is doing so great. And when it was done, held her on my lap, gave a high five and said, "am so proud of you my baby!!"
Now when I compare this to my relation with my parents, for my every new step of my life.. Its just the same.
I look up to them to start something new. Take hold of them until I am confident to stand on my own. Try balancing the situation still holding on to their advice. Take one step at a time. And when an onlooker sees how well am doing, I do chuckle a joy of laughter.
And my parents, they do get into a little uncomfortable situation, since they have to bend or scoop down a bit so that I gain the confidence to stand on my own. They do let me take my own stand but yeah simultaneously ensure I don't get hurt by any distraction towards the goal. During the entire new journey, they walk at my speed. Smile when I smile. And keep talking about my achievements to the world, like it has never been done by anybody so far
:). And when its done, they put a cross on my forehead, kiss on my cheek and tell me "That they are so Proud Of Me".

Parenting for all ages seems to be the same. Just that the situations differ. The only thing that remains constant is LOVE between the child and the parents.
Thank you Mumma and Papa.
