On World Music Day, Celebrate Life With Music

Image
By: Sharon Supriya   As a child, my Dad taught me to celebrate life with music , and this is how I do it, When I sit down near my window and play soft tunes on guitar, I celebrate my loneliness. When I hum to the rhythm of my beloved's heartbeat, I celebrate our love for each other. When I swing my arms up and down, with my daughter to the rhythmic rhymes, I celebrate my child's laughter. When I sing a lullaby to my child, I celebrate her peace in my arms. When I walk down home, listening to some great music from my phone on the buzzing street, I celebrate who I am. When I have failed, and have no room to hide, I find comfort in gospel's soulful music and celebrate the presence of my God.

One of my sisters said, " Shhhh... you rest... don't talk. He is just here." For a second I thought maybe he is busy getting in touch with ambulance and all that, but I wanted him near me and that frustrated me a bit. After 10 mins or so I felt relaxed, slowly I started sweating,...
